It seemed to me that the early pets were super weak, but now (on my Norn Ranger) I got a White Moa bird and an Ice Drake and both of them can solo a mob of the same level just fine. Idk if it's the pets themselves or if they are just particularly durable. Black V2 FC: Jessa 2366-4065-5113. Boards. Guild Wars 2.

When the game released, I had the idea to bring the idea of naming scheme for my Ranger pets into GW2, but at the time, names were not saved. A few minor wyverns can also be found in craggy, wetland locations in the Elon Riverlands and the Sandswept Isles. They are winged cousins of drakes, and much like their cousins can appear

First real issue I've found on Guild Wars 2 Subreddit page today! It has a sort-of solution, but being able to equip a mini-pet in your hero page to automatically being summoned would be incredible. I think you've found an awesome solution which doesn't ruin the "realism" sense in the game.
